The "NI Kontakt 64 Composer Toolkit" is a MIDI Channel Switcher that accesses all Kontakt Ports.
The system is compatible with all DAWs and allows you to have a direct access to all Kontakt A,B,C,D Ports ( 64 MIDI Channels) directly from a single track in your DAW, powered by an advanced Control Change, Pitch Bend and Aftertouch "Multiplication, Chasing and Soft-takeover" options. The toolkit comes with PC Windows and macOS installers which include the following components: Two KSP multi script plugins, a rich AG Library including Kontakt Multis, iPad remote workstations and MIDI Channel switching templates (64 Channels) for Cubase, Logic, Studio One and Digital Performer.

FEATURES & COMPONENTS

1. Kontakt 64 Composer Toolkit is compatible with any DAW.

2. MIDI Port & Channel Switcher plugin. This KSP Multiscript allows you to have a direct access to all Kontakt A,B,C,D Ports (64 MIDI Channels) directly from a single track in your DAW. The plugin includes:
  • Main panel with three MIDI Channel switching modes powered by: Velocity Key Switch; Program Change and regular Low/High Key Switch assignments.
  • Advanced panel with an innovative "MIDI Events Multiplication" capability, which efficiently distributes MIDI Channel events such as: Control Change, Program Change and Aftertouch across multiple Kontakt Ports and Channels.

3. Transformer plugin. It is another KSP Multiscript which includes a range of modes such as:
  • Thru mode. This mode behaves as a plugin "Bypass" which can be automated via a custom Control Change number.
  • Controllers Operator mode. That mode can filter custom selected incoming Controller numbers, fix them to any CC value, or Add/Sub the Controllers' value in real-time.
  • Channelizer mode. It allows you to transform the incoming MIDI Channel to any Kontakt Channel (1-64).
  • Multiplier mode. It is a top notch KSP Multiscript which comes with an optimized and intelligent user interface.
The "Multiplier" mode is designed to multiply the incoming MIDI Channel to numerous Kontakt Channels (1-64).
This mode offers a lot of real-time processing features such as: Channel transposition, custom Control Change number filtering, as well as fixing, adding or subtracting of the CC values.

4. Kontakt 64 Articulation presets. The provided PC Windows and macOS installers extract complete K64 MIDI Channel switching presets in the relative articulation paths for Apple Logic, Cubase, Studio One and Digital Performer. The predefined articulation switching templates are assigned for Velocity Key Switching and you only must rename the "***" symbols with the corresponded Channel Instrument/Articulation loaded into Kontakt.

5. AG Library presets. The installed AG Library folder includes the following presets:
  • Kontakt Multi presets. The presets load the K64 "Port & Channel Switcher" and "Transformer" plugins as well as all individual sample library patches (into Kontakt Ports A,B,C,D).
  • TouchOSC and Lemur layouts. These layouts are specially designed for the K64 toolkit and the articulation button names match the correspondent K64 articulation preset (with Program Remote type) loaded into the DAW (Logic, Cubase, S1, DP). The articulation buttons send Program Change, so can be used directly with K64 "Port & Channel Switcher" plugin set to "Program" mode for DAWs which do not have an articulation switching system.
  • K64 Mapping templates. The mapping templates are PDF documents which show a table with 5 columns consisting of the following indication:
     #. The number indicator can be used for K64 Program Change switching (with DAWs without articulation system).
     Port. The Port indicator shows the Kontakt A,B,C,D ports.
     Ch. This column indicates the MIDI Channel number.
     Note. The Note pitch indicator can be used for K64 Key switching (with DAWs without articulation system).

6. OS Installer wizards. The K64 toolkit comes with installation files for PC Windows, macOS and a manual installation (optional). The installation wizards offer an "Options" window, where you can check/uncheck the components you want to install.

Q. Are the Synchron ART Tools mainly (or only) ART ID oriented? I own an ART Pro 6.3 toolkit and I only use region?s
base text points Articulation switching (with AG Maps Editor & Scripter).
A. Synchron ART Tools come with presets for both standards:
    ? Articulation Sets for ART ID switching (Logic 10.4.2 or higher).
    ? ART Pro 6.3 Editor presets for Art Text Points or Art ID switching via the AG Scripter.

Q. After the Installation, two types of AG Maps Editor Presets appeared in my AG Library folder (SY Strings ECO and
and SY Strings EXT). What is the difference between ECO and EXT? I own ART Pro 6.3 and I?m confused which one to use.
A. ? The Economical (ECO) presets are designed for storing as ?Logic Art Sets? mainly, but they can be used with
AG Scripter as well. We created optimized SY Player AG presets with special Dimension architecture which is 100%
functional with the Logic Art Sets capabilities (up to 3 Art outs).
Example: The ECO preset allows you to switch directly from Pizz to Legato Soft: Lyr Vib, Reg Vib or No Vib via a single
touch of an external Art remote button or a 2nd Keyboard KS. This is a 100% one touch Art Maps switching concept.
    ? The Extended (EXT) presets are designed according to the original Synchron XF Dimension slots which require more
than 3 Art output assignments.
Example: You can combine one touch switching with a XF Dimension switching (by using an external CC fader or CC pedal).
This hybrid method allows you to play two hands ?SY Strings All?, for example, and switch to a given XF slot via an Art
remote Program or a KS, and tweak the CC pedal to switch between the XF Dimension slots Lyr Vib, Reg Vib or No Vib.

Q. I use a 2nd Keyboard to remote the Articulations and I want to import the Articulation names with KS prefixes into my
current Logic project Track Pad. How can I do that in case I do not own AG Logic Maps Editor?
A. Unfortunately, Logic Instrument Patches cannot be stored in the Track Pad info pane. There are two alternatives:
    ? Use the provided Logic Orchestral templates which come with SY Strings pre-loaded tracks with Track Pad Art Names.
    ? Keep your current Logic project opened and open the SY Orchestral KS template. Select a SY Instrument track and
copy the Art Names from the Track Pad. Paste the Clipboard into your current Logic project SY Track Pad info pane.

Q. I tried the TouchOSC SY Presets installed in the SY Library and I may say that these layouts are the best I?ve ever used.
What is the difference between the AG TouchOSC and Lemur?
A. There are some minor differences, such as:
    ? If you use TouchOSC with an AG Logic Orchestral template, you must press a ?Recall? button if you want to switch
the iPad presets according to the Logic track selection. The AG Lemur does that automatically when you select a track.
    ? AG Lemur is far more powerful if you own the AG Maps Editor. ART Pro 6.3 comes with an extended Lemur workstation
which offers up to 130 Articulation buttons where you can teleport the SY EXT presets, for example.
